Rooted in Nature
For more than 30 years, Shuswap Kids Club has proudly provided licensed school-age childcare for families in Salmon Arm. We welcome children from Kindergarten through Grade 5 into a warm, nurturing environment where they can relax, create, explore, and simply enjoy being kids.
Our thoughtfully designed indoor space is intentionally calm, cozy, and inviting—a true home away from home where children feel safe, supported, and valued after a busy day at school.
Step outside, and the adventure begins.
Nestled among the trees with breathtaking views of Shuswap Lake and the surrounding mountains, our outdoor environment has been thoughtfully created to inspire curiosity, creativity, confidence and a genuine love of nature.
Inspired by Scandinavian Forest School philosophy, we believe children thrive when they’re given the freedom to explore, imagine and learn through meaningful experiences in the natural world.
Adventure Awaits Around Every Corner
Children are free to climb, bounce, balance, build, imagine and explore at their own pace. Every trail, play space and quiet corner encourages movement, creativity, problem-solving and child-led discovery.
From our magical forest classroom and woodland fort-building area to natural climbing adventures, hillside slides and expansive grassy spaces, children create their own adventures while building confidence, friendships and lasting memories.
Beyond the forest, the adventure continues. Children can shoot hoops on the basketball court, challenge their friends to a game of four-square, or join in skipping songs and games before gathering under our covered picnic shelter to enjoy long-table crafts, nourishing snacks and time together.

Our Story
Shuswap Kids Club was created with a simple vision: to provide families with quality licensed school-age childcare in a caring environment that feels like a second home.
For over 30 years, we have proudly served families in the Salmon Arm community by offering dependable care and meaningful experiences that support children both socially and emotionally.
